Leaving for Vietnam

At last ! The bags are packed : a juggle between forgetting nothing essential for three months in Asia, and travelling as lightly as possible ! I still have some work to clear up (what a rush ! I wish I could conjure up one more day for all the work load to finish it easily : alas, I have to accept rushing and being tired !) and then a six hour car journey up to my son’s house near Etampes, (ok Paris !) and tomorrow I fly off to Hong Kong and arrive in Ho Chi Minh City at 10h35 on Tuesday (local time) Apparently it is lovely and sunny there now !
I highly recommend reading Thich Naht Hanh’s articles on this trip on www.plumvillage.org where you can discover our itinary and learn about the huge healing ceremonies we will be participating in in all three major cities.
I am so happy to be going with “Thay” and the international community : there will be so many of us, and I’m looking forward to discovering old friends, making new friends, meeting people .. hearing a “foreign” language everywhere .. my ears feel happy already .. I wonder if I will really feel “foreign” ? I love the anticipation and the not knowing … waiting to discover.
So this is it !
